quiet witnesses at her feet — she constructed

The rabbits linger not as symbols of
innocence, nor urgency, but as reminders that
this world once ran faster than she did. She
learned to outpace it. To sit while it twitched.

 

Her gaze is not defiance for spectacle. It is
confirmation. The confirmation of someone
who has decided what stays and what does
not —inside this curious dominion, she is both
architect and sovereign.
